I had to make a comment.
1) if that is your picture in the upper right hand corner of the screen (and I think it is) you are a beautiful young woman.
2) You're writing is organized and you are well spoken. It shows you are intelligent.
3) don't believe everything everyone tells you about yourself. I have this problem and I know it is easy to say and hard to do especially when it comes from unexpected places. Mostly likely they fired you as part of cut backs instead of laying you off. I believe this may save them on unemployment and other financial obligations. It may also reflect better on their books; better than openly admitting a cashflow problem which could affect high ranking postions etc. If you did your best and loved your job, then the problem is probably not you and you were wasting away in an unhealthy environment. This is your opportunity to find a better place to work or the whole new career you always wanted and never really gave much thought. I went through this with my Ph.D. Everyone there made me feel so small and worthless; some went out of their way. It was a horrible enviroment. My self esteem was in the dumpster. the only reason I started applying for jobs was to put the entire thing to an end. My very first application I was called to interview in another state! The interview went great; we were joking around and laughing. They called me a few days later and I thought "to soon for an offer, I didn't get it." It took a few moments for both of us to realize he was offerring me the job and I was accepting. I moved, started my new job and my new life with people who value me, my talent and my contributions. Everyone at the University was floored I got a job so quickly. Some had been looking for years and were rotting in post docs. I know it sounds cliche to say they did you a favor, but, if they really felt like that, they did you a favor. There are people right now waiting to get to know you. Waiting for your talent. Waiting to treasure the great person you are. Go and find them. ;)

In response to:Finally Getting the Help I need.

Hello Ms Elle

Your story of the Tesco chicken reminds me of the time that a work colleague showed me a pork chop that he had brought from Tesco (our office is directly above a Tesco, which is handy, I suppose); not only was there a maggot half-crawled out of the chop, there was a spider inside the packaging too. Needless to say, he took the pork chop back.

One word of advice, if I may? Never, ever try one of Tesco's 'Value' sausage rolls; there's no actual sausage-meat in the wretched things, just bits of gristle, bone, claw, beak, etc etc.
Surely if it's frozen, it would be frozen straight from fresh?

Well seems something went wrong because I cooked it thoroughly and I was eating it when I caught a whiff of something horrid. I put my nose closer to the fish only to realise in horror something was wrong. Yet I'd already had a piece!!!!

Lucky I found it then because I felt rather ill all night, but I wasn't quite sick. If I'd eaten some more I am sure I would have been struggling to go to Kiev on Thursday!!

I kept the rest of the fish, not sure he to send it to to get it tested. I'd say maybe it was somehow defrosted before Iceland put it back in the freezers! And gosh this is the longest comment I ever made!
